Service Agreement

When animals are introduced to new environments and new people, their reaction can be surprising and even dangerous. Considering this, it is important to note that groomers are working with electrical and sharp objects to groom your dog. The animal’s movements can sometimes be unexpected, either because of a simple annoying itch that has just come up at an inconvenient time, or because they are scared and want to get away. 

Angela Dog Grooming Salon cares for your pet with love and care; however, it is possible for animals to have unexpected behaviors that cannot be controlled during grooming. Therefore, upon accepting services rendered by Angela Dog Grooming Salon, you "the client" release Angela Dog Grooming Salon from all liability, and you understand and accept the following: 

  • You, "the client," releases Angela Dog Grooming Salon of all and any liability due to accidents/injury, run away, sickness and even death. You understand that incidents may happen because animals react differently under new environments. In addition, though animals are vaccinated, they may become sick and they may have an unnoticeable health condition prior to grooming. You, "the client," are aware of this possibility and releases Angela Dog Grooming Salon from being responsible for your pet's sickness. Angela Dog Grooming Salon assesses each dog prior to grooming, and in the event noticeable health conditions are present, we will notify you during or after grooming either in person or by e-mail. 
  • You, "the client," are responsible for providing Angela Dog Grooming Salon with your pet's vaccination records, and you are required to inform if he or she is missing any of its vaccines. The pet(s) must not have been exposed to distemper, rabies, or parvovirus within 30 days preceding service. And each pet has been inoculated as required by law.
  • You, "the client," are required to inform Angela Dog Grooming Salon of your pet(s) temperament/behavior, grooming tendencies and grooming condition. Here are some examples: the pet becomes agitated during grooming, the pet does not like the dryer, or doesn't like its paws touched; the pet's coat is heavily matted or has debris, has open skin sores, or the pet has medical conditions that requires being medicated prior to grooming, is epileptic, is aggressive toward humans or other dogs (a muzzle may be used to prevent injuries both to the animal and the "groomer) etc. These existing conditions may cause delays in the schedule, and proper time planning is needed to ensure service completion without scheduling conflict. Prior to grooming, if a pet owner doesn't reveal relevant behavior or grooming condition such as the ones listed above or any other condition that is not mentioned above but is relevant for grooming purposes, and during the grooming session the pet displays behavioral or grooming condition that would have required better time planning in order to complete the service, Angela Dog Grooming Salon reserves the right to end the appointment without a refund in order to maintain and fulfill its commitment to its subsequent clients.  Re-scheduling may be offered with proper time planning (the earliest appointment will be offered) and additional charges may apply.
  • You understand the "groomer" is not a veterinarian, and is not able to treat, make medical observations, or make medical diagnosis. In the event the groomer notice something is wrong with the pet, he or she is not required, but may inform the pet owner during or after the service is rendered of its observations; and, you will not hold Angela Dog Grooming Salon and its groomers liable for not providing such information if it happens. In addition, you will not hold Angela Dog Grooming Salon responsible for any veterinarian costs you may incur as a result of the observations relayed to you by our groomers. 
  • If the dog's coat is overly matted, the animal may not receive the style of cut appropriate for its breed. We'll do our best to keep the animal's coat from being shaved; however, in the event the animal is stressed or in pain, a shave down may be required, and this will be determined by the "groomer". In such cases, it is common for the animal to present mild skin irritation after a shave-down and or signs of skin nicks by the machine being so close to their skin and hairs being pulled. To avoid such things, we recommend that you maintain a brushing schedule at home to keep the dog's coat from becoming overly matted.  
  • You, "the client," will not hold Angela Dog Grooming Salon liable for any skin condition, cuts, bruises, lesions, open sores, scabbing, hair loss, and all other symptoms caused by many types of skin diseases or by small injuries during the grooming.
  • You, "the client," understand that Angela Dog Grooming Salon reserves the right to deny service to anyone, especially if the animal is aggressive or the animal's owner becomes disrespectful to any of Angela's Dog Grooming Salon's employees, representatives and sub-contractors. Angela Dog Grooming Salon will not tolerate any type of harassment and will take such matters seriously. 
  • You, "the client," understand and fully agree that you are always completely liable for your animal. In the event your pet is injured during grooming services, it may be taken to the nearest veterinary for care, and you will assume all liability for treatment and expenses. In addition, you will not hold Angela Dog Grooming Salon responsible for any accidents/injuries, sickness, run away and death, costs associated with treatment or loss of any belonging that may have been at the groomer's possession given by consent willingly or by presumption at the time of service.



Cancellation Policy

Angela Dog Grooming Salon understands there are times when appointments will need to be cancelled or re-scheduled. Therefore, we have set up the following guidelines for appointment modification to avoid excessive abuse. We ask that you please observe our request:

     
  • Please call us at 650.255.5406  by 1 p.m. on the day prior to your scheduled appointment to notify us of changes or cancellations (do not e-mail or text to change appointments. Notice that re-schedule requests are based on availability. Your current appointment isn't changed until you have received confirmation from business personnel).
  • To cancel a Monday appointment, please call us by 1 p.m. on Saturday (we're closed on Sunday).
  • If notification is not given within the notice window described above, you will be charged a $35 fee for last minute cancellations.  
  • If Angela Dog Grooming Salon arrives at the service location, and client isn't home, or deny to accept service without following the notification procedure, you will be charged  the full price of the service booked.
  • Returned payments or cancelled payments will be subject to bank fee recovery. Client is responsible for all fees associated with returned or cancelled payments including collection costs (fees to collect), and legal fees.
  • All fraudulent activities will be reported and client is responsible for payment of all services rendered by Angela Dog Grooming Salon.

Angela Dog Grooming Salon wishes to provide services to all people independent of sex, color, race, and or religion.

Angela Dog Grooming Salon may choose to provide services outside of its service area at its own will. Reoccurring grooming visits to clients outside of service area will be heavily based on availability and route schedule; therefore, Angela Dog Grooming Salon reserves the right to deny continuing service out of its service areas at any time. 

Angela Dog Grooming Salon will not tolerate aggressive, abusive and disrespectful behaviors, and reserve the right to refuse service to any person(s) and group(s) who behaves in such manner.
